ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY

I love the process and exploration of making images and I do not confine myself to a specific media. When you look at the body of work I have produced over the years, you will find a broad investigation of media and form. In spite of my apparent lack of focus, the consistent factor is fiber. It is the foundation that the work resides on. I work both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally. The early pursuit of techniques led me to working with a broad range of artists and textile guilds. I began my formal art education in 1976 at San Jose City College and then went on to received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and a Masters of Fine Arts degree in spatial arts from San Jose State University in San Jose, California. The majority of my life has been spent in the Bay Area in California. I was raised in Los Altos and raised a family in the urban environment of San Jose, California. I relocated in 1995 and now live and work in the mountain town of Buena Vista Colorado.
